Using the site

Hangman4Kids is free to use for personal, family and classroom purposes. No account is required. You may play the game, read the pages, and write out words from the game for use with your own children or students.

You agree not to interfere with the operation of the site: no automated scraping at a rate that burdens the server, no attempt to bypass or obscure advertising in a way that misrepresents the site, no probing of security, and no use of the site to distribute malware or unlawful material.

Children and supervision

The site is designed for children but intended to be chosen and set up by a parent, guardian or teacher. Adults remain responsible for supervising a child's use of the internet, including advertising displayed by third parties and any external link followed from these pages.

Content and ownership

The game, its text, its design and the curated word lists with their hints are the property of Hangman4Kids and are protected by copyright. Individual English words are of course free for anyone to use; the curation, the hints and the presentation are not. You may not republish the word lists or the site's articles in bulk, on another website or in a commercial product, without written permission. Teachers and parents may freely reproduce reasonable extracts for classroom or home use with attribution.

Accuracy

The words and hints are checked carefully, but mistakes happen and language is often debatable. Nothing here should be relied on as an authoritative dictionary or as educational advice for a particular child. If you spot an error, the contact page is the fastest way to have it fixed.

Advertising and third parties

The site is supported by advertising served by third parties. We do not control the specific advertisements displayed and do not endorse the products or services they promote.
